Do you use Dragon Medical on multiple computers? Are you transferring your Dragon profile to a new computer? Do you have a list of vocab words you use often, but they are not located on all your computers? If your answer is yes to any of the previous questions, don’t fret - there’s a way for these to be moved from one computer to the next.
To make sure all of your vocab words are truly and fully transferred we highly suggest that you use a portable USB drive for storage. Having these files on an external drive, like a USB will also be helpful for creating backup files for your Dragon Medical solution.
To export your vocabulary list:
First make sure your USB is plugged in.
Then go to your dragon bar, select tools, scroll down to vocabulary center.
Click on “export custom word and phrase list.”
Give this file a name in the box shown below and select the USB drive to save the vocabulary list there.
Once you have found a place for your list you can eject the drive and insert the USB into another computer.
Once the USB is plugged in, open Dragon Medical and open tools.
Scroll to manage vocabularies, then click on “import list of words or phrases.” and a pop-up box will appear
Click next, add file from your USB drive, highlight the file you added in the list from the left column, and click next once more. This will import all the vocabulary words you have created previously on dragon.
Once this process is complete, hit the "Finish" button.
From this point you can start dictating without the worries of re-adding words into your Dragon software solution.
If you have any issues with exporting or importing your vocabulary words, contact our Support Team, they will be able to assist you.
